Problem in deploying CRM SSRS report.

After completing my SSRS report I tried to import the rdl file by Reports->new->Existing File. But it is saving like 'other reports' in the report type column which should save like 'reporting services report' and if I try to open the report, a popup generating to save a file. Although I completed the report I couldn't deploy it. Any suggestions Please. Thanks in Advance

What version of Visual Studio are you using to create the SSRS and what version of CRM are you using? Also are you using the latest version of the Report Authoring Extension? There is a bug in the latest Report Authoring Extension that causes issues when uploading SSRS. With VS open right click on your report project and click on properties. At the bottom of the window that comes up you will see TargetServerVersion. If it says "SQL Server 2016 or later", change it to one of the other options. Rebuild your project and try to upload your SSRS to CRM again. When uploading make sure you have built the project in VS and get the report .rdl file from the bin folder. If it helps this is my setup for creating SSRS for CRM:

1) VS 2015 Shell and SSDT

2) Report Authoring Extension

I prefer to use the integrated shell so I don't have 2 complete installs of IDE's taking up space on my system.
