Warning message when posting Fixed Asset Depreciation is posted with corresponding Intercompany posting

The journal is posted in Company1 with Intercompany posting in Company2.  The journal actually posts, but the following error always show:

There are no posting restrictions defined for the journal, so not sure what this means.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Do you have a 'System' user group setup and is your user alubag a member of this group?

You mentioned that you posted asset depreciation. At the same time you noted an intercompany relationship.

How does the voucher that you post look like?

Do you post the depreciation expense in company 'X' while the asset value is tracked in company 'Y'?

Can you provide more details about the voucher and journals generated?

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

Yes there is a System user group for both companies, but no one has access to it in Company1 and Company2.  The journal is as follows.  The

Credit is in Company1 and offset account is Company 2

    Hello Tremor Olaes,

This kind of depreciation voucher looks interesting.

Did you create it by making use of the standard depreciation proposal functionality?

To me it looks as there might be something adjusted.

Do you know if this is the case and/or can you find out whether a system modification is in place here?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

We do not have any system modification to the Fixed Asset module.  It should be what is available out of the box.

    Hi Tremor Olaes,

No one is able to access to the 'System' user group; that could be related to any custom privilege set by the developer team which you may check. And in that group, this user 'alubag' might not be included.

Now if this user group is selected as posting restriction by user group in Journal names form for that particular journal name (for example; GEN etc.) and if user 'alubag' tried to create transaction with the same journal name, then he/she might get this error.

Please check below screen shot taken from D365 where you can set the user group access in posting restriction option.

Thanks Sourav for responding!  There are no posting  restrictions defined to company 1 and company 2.  How do I check for custom privilege?

    Hi Tremor Olaes,

You can check for any custom privilege with your developer team if they have set anything like this.

However, have you checked below option available in Journal names form apart form the posting restriction what I displayed in my last post? Is there any group selected ? And if the user is not part of that group?

Just check if this option is available in AX 2012.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam
