Which one should i take up? - Microsoft Dynamics MB2 713 vs MB2 704

My company recently rolled out a heavily customized "Sales" only portion of MS Dynamics 2015 on-premise CRM and we don't have Office365. I've been planning to take up one of the MS Dynamics certifications but i'm unsure of which one is the right option for me. The 2015 MB2-704 has only one exam called "Applications' which combines sales, marketing and customer service into one exam. And again we have not rolled out the Marketing & Customer service portion and and I have very little knowledge of them. The latest 2016 MB2-713 is a "Sales" only certification but i'm not sure if it is suitable for on-premise 2015 users. Moreover, my company does not have access to MS ITAcademy/CustomerSupport portal and I have to heavily rely on online-videos and tutorials for preparation. Any suggestions on which one should I take up?

Do the latest MB2-714, you don't need an academy etc. I passed it with my own learning. It's not very hard.

You mean MB2-713? because MB2-714 is for Customer service

No problems. What materials did you refer before the exam? Did it have on-premise questions or only online?

Go to the exam page, under "Skills measured" I broke down all of the points and researched them individually. Guaranteed pass.

Great, this is all the motivation i require.

Lastly, how long did it take to prepare for the exam? I'm planning to write the exam by August end. Will that be a good enough time to prepare?

Depends how much studying you're doing a day, I did about 3 hours a day and passed it with flying colours in 2 weeks.

So it looks like i have enough time to prepare until August. This was helpful and re-assuring. Thank You!

Try this post, I created this to help people prepare for MB2-713 exam.

Obviously this is a CRM 2016 exam and many features won't apply to your CRM 2015 instance.

But might be worth doing anyway. I would however suggest you create a CRM 2016 online trial to help with your study. And keep in mind that the exam isn't easy! I highly recommend plenty of hands on time.

    Good luck.

Do you know of any specific features that won't be applicable in 2015?
