Hi,

Is it possible to modify the underlying layout.xml in a view (associated with an entity)

Is there a tool that will EXPORT and IMPORT a view into a solution ?

RE: Modify a view in an Entity.

layout definition direct modification is unsupported customization, your changes will be overriden after installed rollups or upgrades. I suggest you to modify your view layout through View Editor
