I am having some problems and I hope I can find some help here.
The problem:
Since a few days, When I create a dynamic worksheet from an advanced find in CRM it doesnt refresh the data from CRM. It does work with already existing files.
The cause:
The connection string is incorrect (some generic line of text while this should point to SQL) and the query is blank
connection string difference
Notes:
- It did work until a few days ago
- Existing files still work and refresh data
- When opening a newly created file I get a warning in excel stating the data connections have been disable for security reasons, with the option to 'enable content'
- After enabling content, it still doesn't work.
- When I change excel settings to always enable data connections, I don't get the warning, but it still doesnt work
- I have the same problem for 2 completely separate CRM deployments and in both Test and Live (so 4 CRM enviroments total)
- Not just me who has the problem, also other users
Software etc
- We have an on-premise deployment of CRM 365 rollup 8.2
- We have a CRM add-on for Outlook installed
- We work on remote desktops/ terminal servers and the same problem occurs on multiple remote desktops
- We do not have an online version of Office.
Any help would be very much appreciated
