Issue exporting data from Nav into Excel

I am having an issue exporting data from Nav into Excel.  The data is exporting into excel at a table - which makes the auto sum functionality not work as it should.  Is this normal?  has there been a change to Nav or is this an excel issue?  We are now using office 365

The below 1st screen shot is my document exported from Nav G/l.  As you can see I am highlighting 5 cells with a sum of £-196922.98

When I click the auto sum icon in the Editing section it changes the values in the cells as per the 2nd screen shot.  I believe it is because the document is a Table and is not totaling the sum of the rows highlighted but all the rows above that one.  Why is Nav exporting as a table and not just a normal worksheet?

Hi, is this a custom feature or a standard feature? How did you export this to Excel?

If the sum cannot be found, the exported format is probably not numeric. This typically happens in some customization.

If you copy rows directly from the page to Excel, I tried it and it seems that there is no problem.

No it’s not a custom feature.

I drilled down on general Ledger Entries, then send to excel (as below screenshot).  The data is coming into excel as a Table – this is why it will not auto sum correctly. I have checked the column format and it is a number.  Could you test it

Hi, I tested it, and it seems to be ok.

    Hi,

Could you test again but instead of getting a subtotal from line 1 -7 could you try getting a subtotal from lines 5-10 and see if you get the correct total.

If you don't like the formatted result of "Send To Excel", then (as yzhums  said) you can use "Copy Rows" inside of NAV and then normal Paste in Excel to get data from NAV to Excel. I find this is often my preference because of the simple format.

Hi, Same file, looks fine. I uploaded the source file, you can check if it is an Excel problem.

Thank you for the information.  As a matter of interest could I ask what version of excel you are working on.  My version is 2208 – Build 16-0-15601-20446.

I have attached the file I was working on after export from nav, perhaps you could test and see if you get the error.  I was auto summing the cells G24-G28 which should total £196,922.98 but was recalculating the cell value to give a sum total of £1,168,424.73 as per screen shots below.

I tested your Excel file, and there is no problem here.
