purchase order report

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

How can I run a report by customer purchase order #?

we have some customers that issue upwards of 20 purchase orders for work each month. I would like to be able to give that customer a report that includes their purchase order # on it.

Not sure if you're looking to build something in sql but the easiest way is to build a view from the POP10100 table. This should give most of what you're looking for. No fancy joins or anything, at least for a simple breakdown. The following below is only for active PO's.

Here's all you would need to start with:

    CREATE VIEW dbo.PONUM_BY_VENDOR AS

    SELECT TOP 10000

    VENDORID,

    VENDNAME,

    PONUMBER,

    SUBTOTAL,

    REMSUBTO

    FROM POP10100

    WHERE STATGRP = 1

    ORDER BY VENDORID
