GP Sales invoice posted to GL but not inventory

Is it possible that the item is non inventory ?
Go to smart list, Sales > Sales Line Item
Press on "Columns" and add the column "Non IV".
Filter by the specific invoice you mentioned, and check what is the value under (Non IV) column
Another way to check is to go to the Inquiry window,highlight the line item and then click on the blue arrow above to open the "Sales Item Detail Inquiry Zoom".
On the bottom of the "Sales Item Detail Inquiry Zoom" window, there is an (item type) section which shall check the non inventory type if the item is so.
