Default Document Layouts for Costumers

In NAV 2017, is it possible to add a default document layouts (template) for all customers?

For example when I create a new costumer, invoice, offers, etc. is already setup from a template, where I have defined which reports to use.

Do you mean to say word layout ?

No, not quite.

For example, When I add a new Item, I can setup and use a template, which specifying different fields having default values, this means I do not have to fill in these fields every time I add items, it is already done.

And when I make a contact in to a customer, I have the ability to select a template, which defines default values for some fields.

The thing I would like to be done as default is:

every time I create a new customer, it would be nice if the Document layouts for credit memos, invoices, quotes, etc. is filled in with default settings, which means that I do not have to add a new document layout every time I create a new customer.

9 out of 10 times the document layout has the same settings.

I hope this give a better idea, what I meant :)

why not, its already on NAV 2017

Ass follows :

For ITEM : Item Template

Customer : Customer Template

you have to setup first the category on your template and those pre difine categories will automatecally add when you create item or customer

Sorry for my late respons

The screenshot you made, is the one I know about, would it be possible to add a Document layouts (See picture)

What I want is, if I make a setup (template) for Document Layouts, it would be nice if I could add a Document Layout template to the Customer Template, which you add to new customers.

Hope this gives sence.

I don't see any standard functionality available for this, you will have to customized it.

Hi

On customer card you can apply document layout for each customer .Now there is no option to apply it Automatically once you create the customer . You can do following ways

1) Create one customize button on customer card and write a program to insert the record in Document Layout table with default values

OR

2) You can write program on OnInsert trigger of customer table for inserting record in document layout with default values.

This required help from developer.
