Hi All,

I want to extract  details from the notes field of DocuRef table,

for eg: Notes

TAKEN IN ERROR                           NO RESTOCK                               RETURN VIA UPS GROUND COLLECT 106RA2     INV# 2746392  2/15/17                    PO# P-34756                              U709107

I want INV# 2746392, PO# P-34756,  U709107 from this above data.

Also, noteCategory should be OrderHeader and Table name should be SalesOrder

I am using CustInvoiceJour and CustInvoiceTrans table in my querry, want to show the above data on my report fields.

Goal is to get PO number from the original order  and

Invoice# Should be the original invoice not the credit number.

Thanks,

    Hi Priyanka,

Where does these notes come from? Are they entered manually or copied from an external file? Is it one long string or separated columns? Please elaborate.

You need to specify what challenges are you facing with meeting your requirements. What do you already have developed, or what problems/errors do you have with your code. It seems to be a simple task to extract information, you have a ton of string manipulation methods at your disposal already in AX, take a look at the Global class for entries starting with str text. I would probably do an strSplit to get a list of elements separated by space character, or str2con split by space character again, and just enumerate the list or iterate through the container values. Then you could do strFind/strScan methods to match PO/INV or other special tags to identify information.
