We have a user group that needs permission to indirectly alter the chat of accounts page (Permissions are set to do this). How do I stop the user being able to view the chat of accounts page?
We are using BC SAAS
Make a separate Roles and Permission and with all dedicated entries and assign this to the users.
if you have to hide those pages then configuration worksheet will help but for that you need to make a separate profile.
You cannot use one permission set where one user have the access but not the other, you need to create a copy of that permission set and remove the the objects from that set to remove the permission for the user.

You need to remove the access of Page 16 Chart of Accounts from the Permission set that this user group is using.
If the permission set that this user group have assigned is also assigned to other users/user groups then changing it will affect others also. In that case create copy of this Permission set, modify the copied i.e. removing page 16 permissions and then assign it to this user group.
Just adding another thing that there is chart of accounts report as well. May be you should restrict its access as well.
