In D365FO managing shift timings for leave and absence management is crucial for ensuring efficient workforce scheduling. To create and assign different shift timings within the working day calendar, follow below steps.

    1. Navigate to Human Resources > Setup > Time and Attendance > Calendars.
    2. Create a new calendar or modify an existing one.
    3. Define different shift timings for various work periods within the day.
    4. Save the changes.
    5. Assign the calendar to employees or employee groups under Human Resources > Workers > Workers.
    6. Specify the appropriate leave and absence policies for each employee or group.
I hope this works for you.
