Service Order and standard codes

Hello

I created standard service codes to ease the process of creating service orders.

However even if I can add  items which type is Service in the standard service code, this does not work when I select the standard code to add them in a service order.

I have a message : " field No. of table Service Line contains a value (xxxx) that cannot be found in the related table (Item)."

It seems that only inventory or non-inventory items could be automatically added as order lines...

I did not find any reason or configuration that should be done.

Is it normal? 

Should I opt for another approach to add  Items (Service) to a service order? This type of item for me is to manage services that requires man.hour so not in inventory.

    Actually you cannot use item type service with service management: see documentation here:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../inventory-about-item-types.

    If I am not wrong this looks like similar request done here:

    That's really weird... you need to build workarounds in service orders to get service works covered.
