I am attempting to clear out a bin location and I recognized that I cannot decrease the available quantity to show zero.
Let me give an example for clarification. I have a quantity on hand in a bin location for 20 and the available quantity showing as 10. I did a negative adjustment for the quantity on hand for -20. So the quantity on hand is showing zero. I was expecting at the quantity available also to be affected but it did not.
From my understanding, the available quantity is calculated taking the quantity on hand substracted from any quantities that are on sales, shippers etc. So if the quantity on hand is zero and there is no other quantities that are showing I was expecting that the available quantity also show as zero. However my assumption was wrong. Even if I do an adjustment for the available quantity for -10 there was no change.
Maybe I am missing something. Has anyone seen this scenario before and knows how to decrease the quantity available to zero? Any suggestion, assistance will be appreciated.
