Customer Insights Journeys: How do I enable Copilots use of existing emails for Content Ideas?

Hi all.
 
I am trying to test the Copilot functionality where content ideas should be based on my existing emails.
 
 
states that "If there are enough ready-to-send/live marketing emails in your organization to start the analysis process (minimum 20) and you have read permission to access all the emails, select the Enable button.". 
 
This is not a customer facing environment, but I have set up and sent 20 different emails, in order to get this enabled, but no such button shows up. The Content Ideas functionality seems to work more or less at it should otherwise (image below).
 
Does anyone have a tip as to what I could try to get the "Enable"-button displayed, and the analyzation started?

    Why the "Enable" button might not appear

    The documentation states that:


    • You need at least 20 ready-to-send/live marketing emails in your organization.

    • You must have read permissions to access all those emails.

    •  

    However, based on the screenshot:


    • The Content Ideas panel is visible, but the message says:

      “There is not enough input to generate ideas. A minimum of two key points is required.”

      This indicates the feature is active but working in manual input mode, not email-based analysis.


    •  

    Possible reasons for missing "Enable" button

    1. Environment type
      If this is a non-production or sandbox environment, the email-based analysis feature might be disabled by design.

    2. Email status

      The emails must be in Ready to Send or Live state, not drafts or test sends.
    3. Permissions
      Ensure your user role has Marketing Email Read permissions across all 20 emails.
    4. Feature availability
      The "Enable" button only appears when the system detects the required email volume and permissions. If any condition fails, it won’t show.

    What you can try

    • Verify that 20+ emails are in Ready to Send or Live status
    • Check user permissions in Dynamics 365 Marketing security roles.
    • Confirm that AI features are enabled in your environment under Settings → Copilot → Content Ideas.
    • If all conditions are met and the button still doesn’t appear, this could be a known limitation in non-production environments. In that case, raise a support ticket or check the latest release notes.

    The "minimum two keypoints" is just a matter of me clearing out the suggested keypoints, that are set automatically based on the content of the email, see updated screenshot below.
     
    Can anyone confirm that the "enable"-button appears in a standard production environment?
     
    If so, the missing feature is probably due to this being a sandbox environment. Will try to verify with support.
