How to Delete a Fixed Assets whose ID was Entered Incorrectly?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi all,

We're getting ready for year end and I was getting our asset list up to date. I accidently put in the wrong asset id for an asset and I need to delete it. Any anyone help me with this?

Thanks!

If you have not posted any journals for that Asset to Financial module, you can delete the Asset using following Utility.

Microsoft Dynamics GP >> Tools >> Utilities >> Fixed Assets >> Delete

If you have posted the Assets amounts such as Cost and Depreciation to Financial Module, then you will need enter Adjustments to remove them from Financial Module. The Warning message in that window also explains this.
