Adding different custom fields to different legal entity. I have 2 legal entities instance and I want different fields in both legal entitles. How does this work?

From what I've tested, custom fields is not dependent on legal entity where it was created. After exposing the field into the form you can use Personalization from System Administrator to push your personalizations for all or subset of users. In your case, share custom fields with other users that belong to same legal entity
