Hi all,
I'm looking for Marketing reports for Power BI.
There is this documentation with Power BI templates, but i don't understand why do we need a connecton with Azure Blob Storage.

Thanks for your help.
Hi Thomas
In fact, there are two "data warehouses" in a way.
All the CRM (including all the marketing data about the email created, landing pages, leads, form filled, etc...) are stored in the traditional CRM database accessible directly from PowerBI.
However, all the behavioural data (page visits, email clicked, etc...) is stored in a blob storage that you need to configure in D365 for Marketing. Each time someone visit a page, it "creates" a small file ion this blob storage.
On our side, we tried to use this blob approach, but unfortunately, the amount of data created (especially if you want to use the website visits, clicks etc...) is so huge that it's just unusable (I'm talking about Tb of data to bring in PowerBI). It takes hours to update and it's very complex.
I've highlighted this to MS a year ago. so maybe there is something more "friendly" coming, i dont know.
We have created several Marketing dashboard in PowerBI. Maybe i could help if you precise a bit your ideas?

Hi Thomas,
The interaction data is stored in the marketing-insights service database. For example, the data of email opens, email clicks, event registrations or page submissions. You need the connection with Azure Blob Storage to access this type of data.
To know more about it, please refer to the following section:

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
