Hi All,

Here is the requirement, i have doctor as a resource and he is available on daily basic which we captured in work hours, the work hours is divided in 3 parts, i want each part to be associated with a particular kind of task, how can i achieve this

Ex: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM - Consultation

10:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Physical Checkup

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Surgeries

I want to display these task on schedule board

This is a challenging one without a straight forward path. Option 1 - create three different resources with different characteristics and work hours to reflect the availability per task. Option 2 - Do you plan to use RSO or the schedule assistant? Or just drag and drop? If it is just drag and drop I may have a hacky suggestion.

For the visual differentiator - Create a booking for each time slot that is blocked for something. The bookings should be in a status of "proposed" to it doesn't consume capacity for a few places we show the booked capacity. Style each booking differently by the type of work its blocking off. You can do this by modifying the schedule board booking template. Alternatively, you can create three entities that are "schedulable" and create the bookings for these records. So you would enable an entity called "Consultation", "Physical Checkup", "Surgery" and create bookings for a record on each entity. This gives you more styling flexibility and less conditions in the booking template.. I recommend styling to be highly opaque representing that the bookings are information only.

Then when using the board to drag and drop, you have a visual indicator where they can drag it since the bookings show this information.

You can also create booking rules to check and make sure the user drags it to the right place (it checks on booking create rules you setup through JS and can throw a warning or error based on your configuration).

Lastly, if you do want to use schedule assistant, the SA will recommend the slots that have these placeholder bookings since they are "proposed". Then if you use the SA UI within the schedule board (not quick scheduling or the SA list view), you can see where there's availability, and read the existing bookings to make sure you pick that specific slot reserved for the task.
