Is there a way to add attachments to the notes of a creditor set-up?

Can you do the same if you already use Altec Doc Link system for Invoices and such? I want to utilize Doc Link to have the W-9's added for viewing in the Vendor Card.

OLE Notes can be added to record notes, but not window notes.

So you can attach a document using the OLE function in the record note for individual creditors.

And as Richard says, when you upgrade to GP 2013 you will be able to use Document Attach which is far superior to OLE objects in record notes.

There are a number of note pads through out GP.  To attach notes to a creditor, make sure to select the note pad next to the Creditor Number field.  To add an attachment, click on the OLE object and select the attachment.  There are several problems with this.  If the attachment is on a local drive, it can only be viewed by the user on that workstation.  The attachment needs to be on a network share that has the same drive letter for every user.

When you upgrade to Version 2013, attachments are imported into the SQL database and are must easier to use.

We discuss this in our Power User manual.  You might want to get a copy.  This and a number of other great features are covered in our Confessions manuals.  Visit our web  www.accoladepublications.com
