CRM2016 On-Premises

Scenario is I have a view that I select x number of records, push a button and the java script fires off a action to run a plugin. With the help of the forum, I have that all sown up and its working a treat. Now I want to know if I can push this a little further

on the view, one of the display fields is called new_submissionstatus, which my plugin changes the record. ie when the record is selected the new_submissionstatus = 'Accpeted', but during the plugin process, it value is changed to 'Processing'. If I open the record I can see that the record has been changed, but the view doesn't reflect the change unless I manually do a refresh.

So question

1. Is there any JavaScript that will refresh the current view?

2. Is there a way to change the colour of the record or cell in the view to a different background colour  ie light blue

Neither interfer with the operation, just a nice visual if it can be done easily
