Hide Case related activities (email) on contact entity

Posted on by 594
Hello CRM, I have an interesting requirement for you. We have implemented service module and each case has customer (contact/account) associated with it. There will be back and forth email conversations going on in a case and all the email activity records can be seen in activity pane of case record. This is excellent! But all these email activity records will also be shown in contact record (customer of associated case) as well. This is not what i want. I want to hide all case related email activities in contact entity (contact is the case customer). Is it possible in CRM to hide activity records in contact entity? If yes then how

How you’ve filtered out the case activities? What is the filter condition ?

    Hi Chakkay,

You cannot update the activities view on social pane however you can add your own sub grid on the form and set your custom view as default.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Chakkay,

If your activites is displayed in a social pane on contact form, don't think you can apply filter to it or set default view to it.

To display your custom view on the form, you can insert a subgrid with Entity Type Activities and select the view you created.

    Regards,

    Abby

    Hi Vladimir,

Thanks a lot for replying. It worked for me. I have created a new activity view which filters out all my case related activities.

But i need to set this view as default view rather than business expanding the sub-grid and selecting my custom view. How do we set my newly created view as default activity view for contact entity?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Chakkay!

You can create additional activities view for the contacts form. This view could be configured to show only non-case activities.

    Hope it helps
