Export more than 10,000records

Hi all,

I read here that you cannot export more then 10,000 records into a STATIC excel worksheet:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/export-to-an-excel-static-worksheet.aspx

However,when I export I specifically tell it to export the file as 'Dynamic' into excel.

It still only pulls 10,000 records through.

Am I doing something wrong, or is that simply how it is?

    Hi,

    if you have onpremise you can change the Default number of records like this:

    http://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2010/03/29/increase-the-maximum-records-exported-to-excel/

     For CRM Online or to do it just in the one Excel file you can update the data query in Excel. Goto --> Data - Connections - edit the Connection - increase the SQL query.

    Regards,

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

    Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I am in Data,Connections as you suggest, but there is no way that I can see to actually increase the range to pull over 10,000 rows.  What am I missing?

    Hi Mognoose,

    Try updating Organization --> MaxRecordsForExportToExcel attribute via SDK.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328408.aspx#attribute

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309569.aspx

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc153636.aspx (CRM 4.0 link just given here for show attribute details)

    e.g:

    organizationObject. MaxRecordsForExportToExcel = 65000;

    service.Update(organizationObject);

    If my post helped you please mark my post as the suggested answer.

    Thanks,

    Perfect, that is exactly where I am, but for some reason, 'Befehistext' is totally blank and not editable what so ever, but the 'Refresh CRM@ function does work, so it is connected to the CRM.  Strange....

    You are using crm online, it works without direct queries to the database.

    So the previous answer to do it over the sdk will probably be the only one which will work.

    Try this Tool. From my experience it also works for CRM online and CRM 2013
