How can you setup a PTO schedule that would allow a person to carryover any remaining PTO at year end, but that carryover must be used by 3/31 of the following year or lose it?
Thank you for your suggestions.
Hi,
There would not be any method in Microsoft Dynamics GP by default that would automatically remove just unused carryover PTO hours by a certain date; in your case 3/31/2020; unless you have a customization or add-on product that has the ability to do this.
My recommendation would be to create a SmartList showing employees with unused carry over hours as of 3/31/2020, then remove the unused hours by updating the available PTO hours in the employee’s record by going to Cards >> Payroll >> PTO >> click on GoTo Button >> PTO Adjustment Entry.
I hope this helps!

Thank you, Margi! I was hoping that by using 2 schedules something could be done, but totally understand your solution. It will be a little daunting with the # employees, but doable.
Have a great weekend!
