When I print the 1099MISC, some (8.5%) of the names print with '@' in front of the last name. In Vendor Maintenance, I can take out the '@' from the TIN Name and save my changes, then put it back in and save, and then it comes up properly on the 1099MISC. Anyone know why this is happening?

Hi Carolyn,
Thanks for your response. All vendors are entered through the screen. I tried to find a commonality, like maybe the problem vendors were entered in the same general time period, but there's no pattern that I could find. Only the TIN Name is affected - the Name and Remit Name all have the tilde.

Hi DPC2222,
When then @ symbol is used as you have described, the application saves it as a tilde (~) in the database table. Perhaps somehow the @ symbol wasn't converted to a tilde . Then when you re-enter the information, it is getting properly converted to a tilde. Are all vendors entered through the screen or are you importing them?
