Hello,

I am currently project lead on IT strategy within my company.

I am convinced Business Central could be of great value, but have a few questions regarding migration / how fast we can adopt Business Central to deal with quotes and invoicing.

We are currently using pennylane.

As well, how can I import sales history of my company to have starting base for our reporting?

Thanks alot,

    Hi
The direct migrations that Business Central allows are the following

From other ERPs and systems, the relevant data must be analyzed and extracted, transformed into a compatible format and loaded into Business Central, for this we rely mainly on configuration packages.

That depends on many factors. What other modules are you planning to use in the system? How many users? It can take from as little as month to under a year.

Typically you want to start with opening balances rather than importing historical data.

    You will need configuration packages
First you need to export data from 3rd party software probably in excel file then you make configuration packege according to the data on your sales reports means you need to know the fields which you will import into BC. All the lines should be aligned with table fields you want to import. Please make sure the name in excel file should match with configuration pack name. Once the data is imported in  BC, you can do what you like.

And of course you will need the opening balances.
    You can learn BC through

And it depends how fast learner are you to adapt BC... anything is possible

    Thanks
