Set Owner of record based on City field

I have a requirement where the business user wants new accounts created to be automatically assigned an owner based on the value in the "City" field. So I have a list of 255 cities/towns, with 12 possible owners depending on which city it is. Is there an easier way to implement this other than adding an OOB workflow, line by line? Any help is much appreciated!

Alex,

It makes sense but I believe you will need to write code if you want do text match.

Thanks for the help. Can I only achieve this if the City field is a lookup field on the Account form? Is there any way to match the Address 1: City field to my custom City/Owner entity and assign it that way? Hopefully that makes sense...

You should try using Real-Time Workflow that will handle creation of record and assign account to owner of city record.
