Team License Limitation

Hi Folks!

i am buying team license after August 2019 on monthly interval. Team license users only interact(only view/read and edit) with Sales, Service and Marketing(Default Module) and 10 custom entities. Right now we are using classic app. 

if we transit classic to UCI then still team license users can access(view and edit) sales,service and marketing app entities in Sales Hub and Service Hub if not then what if i create my custom model driven app and add these entities into that custom model driven app they will be able to access my custom model driven app  or not?

if not then what is the alternative of this which license will be best other than customer engagement license (too costly)

    Hi ZeeshanGhause,

    1. You can customize the Customer Service Team Member and Sales Team Member app to meet the part of the customer service and sale app functions as much as possible, but since Team Member licenses users can only use the basic Dynamics 365 functionality, you cannot make they be able to use all the functionality of customer service and sale app.

    For the specific permissions of Team Member licenses, please refer to pages 32 to 38 of this PDF.

    2. OOTB "Sales Team Member app" does not have a Marketing section.

    But you can edit its site map to add some entities of Marketing section.

    The OOTB "Sales Team Member app" has only 5 entities.

    with due respect as per my understanding from your above comment i have to install these two Customer Service Team Member and Sales Team Member app so that existing user who has already team member license during or after October 2018 will be able to use all the functionality of customer service and sale app.

    Let me know LuHao how can team member licensed user access these module first three are built in while last one "Admin Portal" is custom model driven app

    do you mean "Sales Team Member app" has Marketing section as well for team member license

    Team Member licenses users will no longer be able to access Sales Hub and Service Hub and custom model driven apps. They will be restricted to only three apps designed specifically for Team Member licenses.

    For model-driven apps in Dynamics 365 (Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Marketing, and Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation), this Team Member experience is provided through a set of designated apps:

    Users who have existing Team Member licenses purchased during or after October 2018 will be restricted to this set of designated apps; these users will no longer be able to access Customer Service Hub, Sales Hub, or custom apps.
