Aged Trial Balance with Purchase Order numbers

ReportReport

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to add the PO number to the Aged Trial Balance with Options.

I think the Table I need to add is the Purchase Receipt History (POP30300). I tried to create a table relationship with the PM Open Invoice on the Purchase Receipt History table but when I went into the report I could not see it to setup a table relationship.

Has anyone  made a report to show which PO belong to the invoices on an AP aging. I am working with GP2013.

Thanks in advance.,

I think I just found my answer in the knowledge base Article ID: 864919 - Last Review: October 15, 2011 - Revision: 3.0  PO number printing on HATB in Payables.

I need to test to see if the POP PO number flows to the PM Transactions Open table.

    Hi,

A vendor's invoice can match to multiple POs. There is not a one-to-one relationship between the two, so you won't have a single field that you can pop on the AP Trial Balance. Have you looked at the POP10600 (POP shipment invoice apply)? For your specific company, is there in fact a one-to-one relationship? Do your vendors ever send you an invoice that covers more than one PO or a partial PO? Both scenarios complicate the issue. I think it's something we can solve, but not maybe in the exact format you wanted. I guess that's another question. What is the output you were hoping for?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Hi Leslie,

I just got done modifying the report to include the PO Number. I also had the question in my mind, how will the report react if there are multiple PO to 1 invoice.

I need to check with the client to see if this is a situation that happens.

The Article has me put it in the PO Number on H2, if I look at the report I think I might be able to put it on section H3 it might allow multiple occurrences.

I have not tried it yet.

BYW I am impressed that you took the time to reply. There are several people which have applied to my questions on the forum. I consider you and others that have helped out to be Rock Stars. I have followed the many of your posted for years. Very good information. Only recently have I tried posting questions to the forums.

I read not very long ago you had some health issue. I hope you are doing better.

Thank you very much. I will keep you posted. What other ways could we deal with the many to one issue?

    GP Cowboy,

You've made my day! Thank you. I'm in Dallas, TX so you know I love anyone who goes by the handle of GP Cowboy.

Regarding health, ya' I had a run-in with kidney cancer but I'm all better now. I finally have returned to work full time and returned to the Forum. I didn't realize how much I missed reading all of the questions and answers.

I encourage you to post more questions. There are so many good people hoping that they type fast enough to reply first. If your question is there for several days without an answer, it's probably because we're stumped. If it gets too old it falls too deep in the list - post something else to it via a 'reply' and that will boost it back to the top of the list. Now that's a tip I'll probably get hate mail over <grin>.

Please do keep me posted. I love the idea of putting the PO's on the TB. I guess I'd never really thought about it.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

I must add that I also appreciate the wealth of knowledge and experience that comes from the forum.

At this point I am looking at the PO on the Receivables ATB, and yes Leslie I got through with the PO on the statement.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Rana,

This was a while ago. I have spent sometime looking to see if I saved the article and I also tried to find it on Partner Source. I am not able to find it.

If I remember correctly I ended up just using the PO field from the Payables Transaction Entry window. Which worked for the client.

The PO Number field is on the PM Transaction Open table that is already one of the tables on the PM HATB Detail report. It is a one to one relationship and uses the PO number from the Payables Transaction Entry window.

As Leslie pointed out there are inherent issues with using the POP tables because it is not a one to one relationship.

    I hope this helps,

    GP Cowboy

It doesn't help me out because I need field POPRCTNUM From POP30300. How it can be accessible in AGed trial Balance With Option Report.
    Thanks in Advance
