I would like to inquire whether the D365 Store Commerce App allows for the collection of prepayments in the Point of Sale (POS) system. The scenario is as follows: A customer walks into a store and provides an advance payment. We need the ability to record this pre-payment at the POS, and during statement posting, it should be created as a customer payment journal. This will allow us to use the Customer Account to utilize the balance in future visits.
If anyone has encountered a similar requirement and was able to implement this out of the box (OOB), please let me know how the sale was executed in such scenarios.
