PURCHASE ORDER CREATION BUG

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a potential bug on the Purchase Order screen in version BC 26.1.

When I try to create a new purchase order without selecting a vendor, the system automatically populates the lines with existing lines from previously created orders.

Once I select the vendor, the lines disappear.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is this a known bug?

Thanks in advance for your help!

this behavior might be caused by a third-party customization or extension. I recommend uninstalling any related extensions in a sandbox/test environment and testing the PO creation again to confirm.

Another possible reason is the presence of lines with empty primary keys, often accidentally imported via Configuration Packages. Try checking the Purchase Line table for orphaned or incomplete records and clean them up.

Let me know if the issue persists after these steps.

    PURCHASE ORDER CREATION BUG
    Hello,

It might be a UI-related bug or caused by customization affecting the page behavior. Normally, no lines should populate without selecting a vendor. Check if any page or extension customizations exist. If not, it’s likely a UI bug introduced in the update. Report the issue to Microsoft support or your partner for verification.

Hope this answer will help you!

    PURCHASE ORDER CREATION BUG
In Business Central version 26.1, a potential bug has been reported where creating a new purchase order without selecting a vendor causes the system to temporarily display lines from previously created orders. These lines disappear once a vendor is selected. This behavior is not expected and appears to be a UI or caching issue.

It's recommended to report this to Microsoft support and, as a workaround, always select the vendor before entering any lines.

This seems to be a problem caused by customization. It is recommended to uninstall the third-party extension in the test environment and try again.
Another possibility is that there are rows with empty primary keys, which may be imported through the Configuration Package. You can clean them up and try again.

    PURCHASE ORDER CREATION BUG
    Hello,

I have replicated the case on a 26.1 version and it does not generate the error commented.

You will be able to make sure that you do not have any related development and that you do not have empty lines in the purchase orders.

    I hope I can help.

    Regards,
