Hi,

I am trying to use the rich text editor control on a multiline text field. The image uplolad widget provides a field to to define a destination url as shown in the screen shot. I was expecting the image to be uploaded to be uploaded to this target location. This is not working. I also cannot find any documentation about this widget or the control itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Cool. I'll submit a post @ ideas. I think the widget can be made more user friendly/intuitive :-) by adding short tool tips to the fields on the widget. Just trying to think from an end user's perspective (after discussing with such) :-)

    Hi Symira,

If you want an image to be uploaded, I am sorry there is no such option available in Dynamics CRM which allows you to upload images and use them in your email templates. We have an Addon SolzEditor. Drag and Drop Email Template Builder for Dynamics 365 CRM gives you the freedom to use local images from your Desktop in your email templates. Easily build an image asset library to reuse images across email templates.

Using this addon Dynamics 365 users can upload images and store them. The add-on allows you to build an image asset library to reuse images across email templates.

For more details you can visit the link below: www.solzit.com/.../

    Hi Symira,

    Yes, I’m listening.

What you need is adding one tool tip to the widget itself not Multiline Text field, right?

If adding it to the widget directly, you can’t do it through your customization in crm, maybe you can provide your ideas to the following forum(Ideas (dynamics.com)).

Or you can add tool tips to the field that has enabled rich text editor control, you can add it as folloing steps:

Go Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Entities > expand one entity you need > Fields > the field you need, then enter text  that should appear when a user hovers over a field to ‘description’.

    Hi Leah Ju,

Thanks for your feedback.  In fact I was looking exactly for this documentation. Thanks for sharing. Now I get it :-). In fact I still find the image widget itself a bit confusing. A short tool tip could solve the confusion... aka are you listening?

    Thanks

    Hi Symira,

You may have misunderstood the meaning of this field, it cannot upload this image to the URL you entered.

The following document mentioned, the’ target url’ just makes your image a hyperlink to navigate to this page when clicking it.

Use the rich text editor control in Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

So you don't need fill 'Target Url', the picture can upload and show in the multiline text field.

And you can upload picture to sharepoint with Dynamics 365 SharePoint Integration.

you can refer following link to know detailed steps about configuring SharePoint Integration for entities.
