Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 External Connector License

Hi,

I understand that CRM 2011 External Connector license to provide CRM access to  any external users like customer, partner, agents, etc. But I would like to understand that if CRM 2011 External Connector license is requried for integration with any inernal/legacy system.

    Hi Gopal,

    External connector to integrate with internal/legacy systems does not require a license.

    On page 11, the definition of an External connector is for ‘external users’ and external users are not your or your affiliates employees.

    Hi Gopal,

    External Connector Licence is used for intergration with other application where this user will will be used for  accessing CRM through Web Services.

    ESS(Employ Self Service) Licence is used for authentication users from Portals, Internal systems.

    If the user is used in background for authentication then use External Connector Licence

    OR

    if user will login from some portal then use ESS Licence.
