Error while running Real-Time workflows

Hello All,

I'm having below error from Real time work flow .it triggers on 'create' event

[Microsoft.Crm.ObjectModel: Microsoft.Crm.ObjectModel.SyncWorkflowExecutionPlugin]
[xxxxxxxx-67ca-e911-81a6-0e255d51e9a6: ]
Sync workflow 'xxxxx_Autofillfields' terminated with error 'SecLib::AccessCheckEx failed. Returned hr = -2147187962, ObjectID: xxxxxxxx-24cf-e911-81a6-0e255d51e9a6, OwnerId: fe92ae19-3914-e911-8193-0e255d51e9a6, OwnerIdType: 8 and CallingUser: xxxxxxxx-3914-e911-8193-0e255d51e9a6. ObjectTypeCode: 10013, objectBusinessUnitId: xxxxxxxx-9cf9-e811-8192-0e255d51e9a6, AccessRights: WriteAccess '.

But it's working fine in below cases

i) if work flow converted into asynchronous .

ii) update security role to with 'business level write permissions'.

I initially thought because of security roles, but its working fine as a back-ground mode. it looks system is executing workflow before creating the record. any thoughts about it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Can you please post a screenshot of the WF logic?

    Hi

When you convert to background workflow, it runs in the context of the workflow owner user, which in most cases will be a Sys Admin user. That's why it has no permission errors when running in background mode.

When you convert to real-time, by default it runs under the current user's context and the current user does not seem to have Write permission to Configuration entity.

Could you make sure the user who is triggering the RTWF has the above mentioned granted via a security role assigned to them?

One other option is to set the RTWF to Execute as the owner of the workflow as shown below

That fixed my issue. Thanks Mr. Kokulan
