I want to restrict users updating Business unit field on their user profiles.

Which settings inside security roles should I change in order to achieve this?

Currently users can change their business unit.

    Hi,

You can apply a javascript display rule to enable that button only for certain users on the Change business unit on the ribbon button using Ribbon Workbench.

Otherwise you can manage it on the security area by removing write prv on USER entity to those users.
