Planned Production orders are auto deleted when generating plan in Planning worksheet

Posted on by 95

HI All,

I have a problem where we loaded a range of planned production orders. When I run the Planning worksheet to check for other MPS demand, BC seems to be auto deleting the planned production orders, I have not accepted any action messages in the Planning worksheet, I simply created the Regenerative Plan to see the results, and immediately the order is deleted.

Is there a setting or something that I am missing here? URGENT ADVICE needed.

Thanks Debbie

This is standard behavior.  Planned Production Orders are not firm demand, they are often used for a what-if type scenario.  The suggestions made by the Planning Worksheet are technically Planned Production Orders and utilize the same number series.

If you want the Prod. Order to stick around it needs to be in Firm Planned status, but this will also create demand for the components of that Production Order.
