Enable mailbox for crm online trial to set up server side sync

Hi everyone ,

Hope you are doing well.

I was wondering if it is possible to enable mailbox and set server side synchronization for online trial version.

If so , then request you to share the steps or any helpful link that are involved to achieve this.

I would be thankful if someone can assist me regarding this.

Any suggestions are more than welcome.

    Hi Om,

    You can setup that easily, if you want to test server side synchronization you can also add a free trial for office 365 within your CRM trial and then after then assign office 365 license to your CRM user and their email so that they can access to outlook and now you can test and enable mailbox.

    Thanks for your valuable response.

    I already have Office 365 subscription so no we can skip that step in my case.

    But I am struggling to assign office 365 license to CRM user in online trial.

    Could you please help me know what are the steps that I need to take to do this.

    Ok, you can go to office portal and select activity user-> Click on Edit button and assign Office 365 license like below

    Again thanks a lot.

    Looks to me there is some issue with my online trial and so I could not see first checkbox which you ticked. Let me sort this issue and then I can try your step later

    You need to be the Global Administrator to assign the License on Office 365 instance.

    Hi Mithilesh ,

    Thanks for your response.

    I can see message "You can't edit your own security settings , so not all settings are available here" in User --> Roles Section.

    Don't get how to attach screen shot in this forum while replying else I would have attached the same here.

    If you are getting this message it means you don't have Global admin rights, you need to need to find out who is having global admin right and need to ask them to add office license for you.

    Hello guys ,

    I tried creating new user and then I logged in using new user and checked my previous user's role and it turned out to be Global Admin.Please find it's screen shot :

    But again when I logged in by user with role Global Admin , no luck for me :

    Anyways I am trying to sort out this problem , thanks for valuable suggestions.

    If someone has any idea , what issue could be is it some configuration step I skipped or should I use new trial altogether , please assist.
