Hi support,

I got a production A below. I release this production order

after that I click warehouse -> release to warehouse so that Warehouse can prepare a material

But When I click release warehouse I don't know how to setup next step for warehouse know this information.

We used item transfer for transfer material from warehouse to production at this time. It isn't good a solution because

1. Warehouse can transfer over material from item transfer.

2. Warehouse don't know when Produciton need material.

3. When warehouse finish transfer material. Production don't know it. I must go to system and check it one by one.

I hope I can receive support for this issue ? It means When I start production order or when I release production order Warehouse will know it and they will prepare a material for production

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Work for raw material picking can be generated during release:
    docs.microsoft.com/.../release-production-orders

The following setup is required to generate warehouse work for raw material picking:
    - A location directive for raw materials picking that determines which warehouse location to pick the materials in
    - A wave template for raw materials, where policies for the execution of warehouse work are configured
    - A production input location that determines where materials are put

Additional details can be found in this documentation page:
    docs.microsoft.com/.../releasing-bom-and-formula-lines-to-warehouse

This blog also gives details on the topic:

Also, please search for other Community posts on this topic, which can give additional details, such this one:
    community.dynamics.com/.../ax-2012-r3-production-wms-raw-material-picking

To see the created work orders from the UI, you can use the "Work details" link from the Production order form or even the All work form (Warehouse management > Work > All work).

If you want to see the created work orders from the mobile device, please review this blog for related configuration:
    cloudblogs.microsoft.com/.../

    Regards,
    Lucian
