Deleting a project

Hello experts,

In D365F&O, we have a project and a sub-project which was wrongly created. The settings for project budget was set to yes. There are no posted transactions and no transactions in progress either. Now, when I am trying to delete the sub-project first, it throws an error saying the below:

Since the budget settings were set to 'yes', there is a default budget ID which has been created. I am not sure if this is the reason why I am not able to delete. But I dont see an option to delete it either. I tried changing the project budget setting to 'no', but that didnt help either. Is there something which you would recommend. Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. We create projects through wizard.

Found a forecasted budget for this project by the Finance department! That was the problem
