Export Registrants + Sessions + Custom Field Responses

Dear Community,

We want to create a view, which we could then export to excel, that has one line per registrant, something like this

Event Name Committee (From Person Record) Session A Session B Session C Meal Preference (Custom Event Field)
Super Conference 2019 John Doe Committee Z Yes Yes Vegetarian

This displays all relevant registration details in the most compact form. Is this possible? How would I do this?

    Hello,

    you can certainly achieve parts of your view by defining a "View" in Dynamics 365 on the entity "Session Registration" that will show event name, contact full name, Session name and Meal preferences.

    Two topics to solve:

    1. Committee - is that assigned to contact? If you can assign this to the Session registration as well, you could pull it into the view
    2. You pivot multiple session registrations into several columns for the same session. This cannot be achieved easily with a view in Dynamics 365 directly. But you can export the view to Excel and build the view there.
      Alternatively you could use Power BI (even free) to collect the respective data from the CDS endpoint, and build your report that does exactly what you like to report on. Pretty straight forward.
