From the article below, I believe we can create new record using OData endpoint, but the article only show some examples for query the records:

If I would like to create a record, for example, a new customer record, how can I achieve it?

You do need any custom action for this; it's supported by OData out of the box. Assuming that you're using the OData Client Code Generator, it will look like this:
