how to achieve functionality of callback from the plugin and showing it as a popup message.

is it possible to do this?

    You can't do it in plugin alon if I understand your question clearly, but you can do with combination of plugin and script, check this: missdynamicscrm.blogspot.in/.../convert-crm-plugin-message-to-crm-alert-form-notification-javascript-from-plugin-csharp.html
