Company code is lowercase?

hi

Whenever I import a new user into AX (from Active Directory) the company code imports as lowercase. However, the company code in the legal entities setup, is uppercase..

Any ideas?

    Hi James,

Can you tell what happens if another user imports new users? Is the behavior the same? Did you type the value manually or was it copied from your user settings? Can you review your startup company if this is lowercase? Because usually it is copying the options from the user which creates the user.

    Thanks for the reply Andre

I set my company code in File>Tools>Options to uppercase, and then deleted, and reimported the user (where I did not type the company code in manually, I let it derive automatically). The company code then still derives as lowercase.

I checked the setup in Legal Entities, and all is uppercase there too..

    Hi James,

As you did mention you set the company code to uppercase in your profile, does this mean it contained the lowercase characters before? In that case, caching might cause it. Restart the client and/or AOS will clear the cache.

If you didn't change your user options setting, I misunderstood your previous reply.

the company code in my user setup was already in uppercase.. I even restarted the AOS to test :(.

    Hi Andre

I ran a search on all the tables in the DB, looking for the company code. Then extracted it into excel, filter for the ones with lowercase... The below are tables that I 'think' might be the cause (not 100% sure)..  I'm also not sure what screen they come from.. Do any ring a bell?

    Hi Crispin

Thanks for the testing your side. I did the same with my DAT company, and the company went through as lowercase (dat) as well :(

Not sure why AX would do this..?
