Relationship Tab is not showing on the Form

Hi,

We're on on-premise CRM 365 update 2.1. Sometimes we see that the Relationship tab is missing from the Contact entity. Therefore there is no way for us to check the relationship of this Contact with other entity such as Case, Audit History, etc.

In the past we were able to show the Relationship tab again by importing the form customization from our test environment which was not affected by this problem. However unfortunately now our test environment has the same problem too...

I tried modifying our Contact form's customization.xml file with no luck.

If you see below screenshot, the associated entities are already listed correctly.

I notice that the Contact Name that shows the list of tabs when you click on the Contact is missing from the top of the form. The relationship tab will be available under this Contact name 'New Contact'. See below the difference between them.

Correct form:

Wrong form:

Could anyone please help us on this issue? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes I don't think this is a permission issue. I am a system admin and also cannot view it. For some reason the form does not show the correct tabs.

It also doesn't work in other browsers like Chrome, Firefox, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

Do you try to create a new form for Contact entity to check whether this issue happen with the new form?

Besides, I would like to confirm with you whether this issue only happen with Contact entity?

Do you add some custom code to this entity? If so, could you please check whether the code is supported in Dynamics 365 on-premises update 8.2.1?

    BR,

    Judy

    Hi Judy,

The issue is only on the Contact form and it doesn't happen on a newly created Contact form. Aside from custom fields and very basic javascripts on our current Contact form, there's not much customization. We had this issue before upgrading to CRM 365 version 8.2.1 actually.

    Thanks.

Solution: re-create Contact form from scratch
