Unable to Post Product Receipt

Dear All,

I'm unable to do Product Receipt after registering the SN # (Item Tracking Dim is Serial # based). Not sure why this Error occurs....any help...8611.Capture.JPG

    Where and how exactly did you specify the serial number? Did you check if the serial number was also updated in the inventory transaction?

    The error means that is does not have a serial number; in this case on the sales order line. Is it a direct delivery or intercompany order?

    Yes....on Sales Order Line, it is direct delivery...

    I have specified the Serial number under registration form on Product Receipt

    Are you sure it's registered ? Have you specified the registration for the appropriate configuration (I see you are using variant) and serial number ?

    Is the Receipt status of your line = Registered ? (under PO line > Update line > registration) ?

    Thanks for your info folks but I have attached the solution for the same.

    Resolution for the Error Message:

    Go To Sales Order > Inventory > Reservation
    Click on Reservation column & reserve the line against specific Serial Number.
    Close the Reservation Form
    Close the Sales Order > Go back to Purchase Order and enter Product Receipt

    Error Message:

    >Purchase Order #

     >>Sales Order#

    >>>Item#

     >>>>Inventory Dimension Serial number must be specified

    >>>>>Update has been canceled

    >>>>>>An error occurred during update

    That's weird because on a direct delivery purchase order you are not supposed to do anything more for the receipt on the linked sales order after creating the purchase order.

    What is the reservation policy ?

    Is blank receipt/issue allowed unticked somewhere on the tracking dimension group ?

    Are you sure to have correctly registrer the serial number on the registration process on the PO when doing the product receipt ?

    Anyway if it's solved could you mark the post as answered for the community ?

    Are the serialisation requirements for the item the same in both companies?

    If so then does the shipping company know the serial number and enter it before the drop shipment- if not then does it allow blank?
