Archive data to reduce our storage costs - Approach

I have a request from the business to know how we can archive data to reduce our storage costs. Having discussed this with our Microsoft DSE, the response/ recommendation was not what was expected.

Could you let me know if anyone has performed a similar activity and what model was used?

I use Dynamics 365 for CE ( Healthcare)

    Hi,

    Here are several ways to remove data from an organization to reduce storage consumption.

    • How to Remove Data from your Organization: Bulk Delete email and workflow instances, evaluate and delete suspended workflows, remove email attachments, remove email messages with attachments, remove notes with attachments, remove duplicate detection jobs, delete audit logs, delete job instances.
    • Removing Completed Async and Workflow Data: When an async workflow is triggered in your CDS organization, a record will be created in the AsyncOperationBase table to track the processing of the async job. Additional records will also be created in the WorkflowLogBase table to maintain logs for the workflow execution.
    • Remove Audit Log Data:When you enable auditing, Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement apps stores the change history for transactions in the form of audit logs in the database. You can delete the old or unwanted logs to clean up the database space.
