CRM (2011 RU-18) not working anylonger in Outlook 2010

Dear all,

Since a last few days we encounter some issues regarding the MS CRM (RU-18 / 5.09690.4376) plugin functionality in Outlook 2010 (Prof. Plus / 14.0.7015.1000). When trying to open a page, the contents are displayed as "There are no items to show in this view" and in the ribbon all icons are greyed out and the message "Retrieval of a page from a CRM server failed due to an error".

I am for 99.5% sure this is update related. This machine was fully functional before the updates were pushed from the WSUS.
Only I am not able to find any relations between the deployed updates online.

Hope one of you have the answer! Many thanks in advance.

This fix took care of the issue for me, good luck!

    Resolution

    Important

The DWORD value (Hexadecimal) for this key is being set to 2 in order for it to be defined in a future security update.

The following registry key is dependent on the version of Microsoft Outlook installed:

    Microsoft Outlook 2016:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Security] "EnableRoamingFolderHomepages"=dword:00000002

    Microsoft Outlook 2013:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Security] "EnableRoamingFolderHomepages"=dword:00000002

    Microsoft Outlook 2010:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security] "EnableRoamingFolderHomepages"=dword:00000002

Can't find the link where I found this, but this solved the issue for me:

    Open Regedit

    Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / MSCRMClient

Add a new DWORD 32 key named as 'UseWebFormProcessIsolation'

    Set the value to '0'

    Restart Outlook.

    Good luck!
