Hi,
If I wanted to create a General Ledger report using either the data entities available in Data Management or in the "Open in Excel" feature. Do you know which data entities would work best.
I am trying to get a GL report that will autorefresh and that is in excel. We are trying to not have to always run a new GL thru "Financial Reports"

Does the out of box Trial balance inquiry not meet your needs? General ledger>Inquiries and reports>Trial balance.
Hi - It does, once I click into the "Closing Balance" and see the line item details.
Is there a way to export the Trial balance thru data entities/data management?

I cannot confirm that the below will give you what you want, but they might help.
A while back I started playing with PowerBI Desktop and Odata connection, to try and see if I could do what you mentioned - Financial reporting outside D365FO. But I admit I gave up as the ODATA connection was way to slow.
However below were the entities I started with
Not that I'm aware of. You could have a custom data entity developed for that purpose.
