Hi all,

I am wondering if there is a way to email AND print customer invoices after posting in D365 F&O.

Currently, we use print management to email invoices to customers once posted. However, the team needs to print the invoices after posting as well. From what I know you can choose only one option in print management, but not print and email at the same time.

Maybe there is a way to print all posted customer invoices in bulk? Any advice would help!

FWIW we use Bottomline PrecisionForms for this. There's a whole career in their scripting language but we get to tailor the forms, logos, bank details etc per document - but also mail them out. We (pre-Covid) used to selectively print out some of the documents as part of the workflow. However, would love to hear how other folks are achieving this (we're being asked to look to Electronic Reporting to do this, but are unsure of it's capabilities).

You can add an additional node to the print management setup for the invoice document:

1) Right-click and select new

2) Configure this new print copy as needed so the destination is the physical printer or other target you want

To confirm, if I have two nodes under Customer Invoice in Print Management - "Original" configured as Email destination and "Copy" configured as Print Destination, would both destinations be used once a Customer Invoice is generated?

Correct. One setting should cover the email "print", and the other setting should cover the physical "print". Both will get triggered when an invoice is generated based on the above answer.

A more advanced scenario for example: let us imagine you want to have the printed copy for only certain customers - maybe based on the customer group. You can set up a new conditional node and create a query for your conditions.

Email and print invoices after posting

Hi all!

Thanks for your answers. I have applied this setup but I can't get the printing in both modes (print physically and sending by email). When I post the sales packing slip I just get the first print destination...whatever I put in first place but just the first one...

Did you reach to print and send by email at the same time when posting?
