KB installation error:

Hello guys

I am trying to install some KBs on AX but an error is occurring.
I checked the user's privileges and everything is OK

    What are the KBs expected to fix on your box?

    Hi,

    The error is for KB4531583 but I am trying to install all the latest KBs for AX 2012 CU13.

    It's a dev environment.

    Some more details:

    1- Before extracting the KB I made sure about the '[Right Click>Properties; Unblock]'.

    2- The same error occurs in other instances of AX

    More details:

    I am trying to install all the latest KBs that were released as of 4/10/2020 by Microsoft.

    I have a list for installation. From this list most KBs have the errors mentioned in the log above. However, I was successful in installing the latest 7 KB and 3 Hotifix kernel.

    I don't understand how it was possible to install some KBs and others have errors.

    The AXUtilLib.dll dll and the AX Kernel are the same version.

    I did a quick research, seems like a lot of factors can be involve here.

    I would like to validate which OS are you trying to install it on?

    Also, are you able to try the installation in another box?

    Let me know if you are able to do that, I might have some additional steps base on those outputs

    The OS is Windows Server 2019.

    I tried to install it in another box but was unsuccessful. Same error.

    In that case, I would suggest you to follow this steps:

    1. Enable CAPI2 (Crypto API) logging on their machine

    2. On the same machine
      1. Run the PowerShell snippet below
      2. Run the hotfix installer again
    3. Reply with the output of the PowerShell snippet, the AX installer logs and an export of the Microsoft-Windows-CAPI2 TRX log from Event Viewer

    Looking at the logs, I believe that $filePath should be set to “S:\Hotfixes\Penny Rounding\Penny Rounding Supplemental 2\KB4520471\Models\dynamicsax2012r3_cl4582078.axmodel”.

    This is from another incident pretty similar to this, once you have the data, I would open a case with Microsoft Support and send it over to them to have someone to review it.

    Hello

    We also identified that the .axmodel certificate had expired. We contacted Microsoft and hope to release the fix soon.
